1031 Exchange Rules

 In 1031, Commercial, investing, Taxes

Thanks once again to Steve Rosansky for updated 1031 exchange rules and rates reflecting the tax cut extensions and their impact on 1031s.

The CRE market is coming back around this year, and I’m ready to help you with your transaction needs and Steve with the upleg.

Enclosed are several new 1031 exchange templates we recently created that I thought you might find of interest. The first flyer pertains to the withholding rules and requirements surrounding foreign persons and entities that sell U.S. real property interests. The second template discusses the impact that the recent tax rate extensions have on real estate investors. The last two flyers focus on the extended tax cuts and the potential two year “window of opportunity” that exists in this regard

The following are links to API’s website and additional information about the 1031 exchange process:

  • API Exchanger Checklist
  • The Delayed Exchange
  • Identification Rules
  • Like-Kind Property
  • Requirements For Full Tax Deferral
  • Partial Exchanges.
