Arcadia Sports and Entertainment is the New Name for the Proposed Planet Oasis in Delaware County by One of the Developers

In Columbus, Commercial, development, net lease, nnn, Ohio, Retail

The supersized $2 billion Delaware County development received a new name.  Planet Oasis is now Arcadia Sports and Entertainment, named after the LA, Inland Empire suburb of Arcadia or the GMC SUV.  The renaming contest was won by local college student, Ian Shaw.

Pardon the long post title, but this is getting rather complicated and combative.

The press release came from one of the two competing developers, Tony Sekulovski’s Blue Horseshoe Ventures who appears now to have the lead to be the primary developer for the 350 acre project.

Also announced is the start of construction slated for summer of 2019.  Forthcoming in the next few weeks will be updated design with renderings.

We’ll see what David Glimcher’s Blue Horseshoe Development, the other competing developer, has to say about this name change.  Reaction should be swift.
