Central Ohio newcomer Tom & Chee with what’s being called “the ultimate grilled cheese experience” is planning up to ten fast casual type restaurants in Central Ohio with two opening this year.

Tom & Chee has received national attention for primarily one specialty: the grilled cheese donut. It’s cheddar cheese melted between a glazed donut. I don’t what I personally think of that yet, but anything involving glazed fresh donuts, I’ll certainly try.

Ron freeman is the guy who is bringing Tom & Chee to Columbus from Cincinnati. His first Columbus are store will be at a retail strip center at 256 and 204 in Pickerington and should be open on May 2nd. The 2,100 sq ft location will seat around 70 and will not serve alcohol .

Their second Columbus location will be opening in mid May at the site of the former Ruby Tuesdays at 1840 Hilliard Rome Road.

Their hours will be Weekdays from 10:00am – 9:00pm and weekends from 10:00 – 10:00pm.

This will be a nice addition to the Columbus net leased retail fast casual restaurant market.
