Many of us commercial folks who have been in the business for a time have had 1031s go wrong or almost go wrong. I had it happen during the height of the financial crisis with the lender bank backing out on the 178th day, two days before closing because the FDIC was in there. A few of you have had similar stories so I’ll continue to post and link Steve Rosansky’s articles on some of the more esoteric aspects of exchanges.
