Ohio State University’s Lane and High Street Student Residential Project

Construction started a couple of weeks ago on a $370,000,000 project to add 3,200 beds to the OSU student housing to comply with the new requirement that sophomores in addition to freshman live on campus. Projected completion is 2016.

Dallas based HKS was the lead architect of the team picked last spring along with Miles McClellan Construction and Shelley Metz Baumann Hawk Engineering and several others.

Hopefully, the project will be the catalyst to revitalize net leased retail development on the east side of High Street. Retail and restaurant has been in a sorry shape for decades from the Suth Gateway to Lane Avenue.
