Anywhere from a 150 to 500 room full service hotel, parking garage and mixed use or ground floor net use retail is likely. The proposal from Daimler, Continental and Kaufman includes two 12 – 15 story towers, which would house a hotel, residences and ground level retail.
The Columbus Convention Center needs full service hotel rooms if it’s going to attract events as large as a national political convention. The Short North also needs net leased retail property because there’s rarely any vacancy and can easily absorb the additional space.
