Century City’s Westfield Mall Gets $700 Million Facelift
And what a facelift it is! The revamped mall will feature an additional 422,000 square feet of new retail space with an additional 70 Los Angeles commercial real estate net leased, world class luxury retailers or restaurants for a total of 220 retailers and restaurateurs.
There will be eight acres of outdoor space including a new central plaza. Parking capacity will be doubled to 4,700 spaces. Nordstrom’s will likely be added as an Los Angeles net leased anchor. There will be 20 new high end residences in ten floors.
I’m not sure when the huge Los Angeles commercial retail and residential construction project is to begin. However, the project is slated to open in 2017 and is projected to result in 3,375 new jobs.
