Columbus Downtown and Environs Construction Update for August 2018

I’m a little late getting this monthly construction review article by Columbus Underground posted as soon as I should have, but thought this would still be of interest.

Columbus Underground’s Walker Evans covers ongoing and new development located in Columbus Downtown, Short North, Clintonville, OSU University district, Franklinton, Discovery District, etc.

Covered are planned and under construction multifamily, apartments and condos, office, triple net retail and more.

Anyone who has attempted to drive up High Street from downtown is well aware of what a mess it is of partially blocked streets and sidewalks that it seems that every block has an ongoing project.

One planned and approved project that’s been missing in action for a while is any update on the 35 story Millennial Tower project downtown. This is making me wonder if construction costs have rising to the point that the project isn’t viable anymore. I’d really hate to see that because for more density in the CBD we need to start building up.
