Westerville Commercial Real Estate for Sale or Lease In New Mixed Use Planned District
It appears that there will be additional Westerville commercial real estate for sale or lease in a track between Alum Creek and Cleveland, just north of the Westerville St Ann’s hospital, currently known as Braun Farms.
Westerville senior planner, Bassem Bitar, envisions this mixed use ‘Planned District’ development as on the scale of an Easton or Grandview Yard due to the similarity in size.
Westerville planning commission approved the project on a 6-1 vote and sent it on to council for approval. Council is considering rezoning the property to a ‘planned district’ to support the necessary density for the project to succeed.
Otterbein University bought the northern 25 acres, but has not released any plans for development at this time.
Preliminary plans are for a mix of Westerville net leased retail and office along Cleveland with retail in the center of the project surrounded by high density residential
Given that I’m always looking for Westerville net leased commercial property or triple net retail space for clients, there does seem to be a demand. I have doubts that something of this size and scale could be supported given that Polaris is just a few miles away.
