Columbus, Ohio – Amazon buys 392 acres

In Absolute NNN, Columbus, Commercial, development

Amazon just closed on 392 acres for $116,653,320 on January 17, 2023 in Licking County, Ohio just outside of Columbus.  Most or all of it will be the cities of New Albany and  Johnstown.

It’s unknown at this time what would be developed on the property, but an application filed to the Ohio EPA by MBJ Holdings LLC, proposed an industrial business park.

The purchase is in addition to the and the over 112 acres bought south of that area near Jug Street Road on April 20, 2020.

The application reads that purpose of the proposed development is to construct an industrial business park providing multiple warehouses, flex office and maintenance/manufacturing buildings for advance technology manufactures and users.

The proposed development is anticipated to primarily be occupied by companies supporting and supplying the Intel semiconductor manufacturing facility,’ the application said.

We don’t yet how much of a retail component will be part of the development and if it will be for sale to small investors.  Columbus commercial realtors, agents and brokers will be happy if it is.
