Dublin’s Bridge Street to Get Their Own North Market.

In 1031, Columbus, Commercial, development, investing, net lease, nnn, Ohio, real estate, Retail

A concept very similar to the Short North’s North Market could be coming to Bridge Park in Dublin, Ohio, a Columbus suburb, if they successfully navigate through another couple rounds of approvals with the city.  If expected approvals are obtained, Bridge Park residents and shoppers could have their own North Market by 2020.

Bridge Park residents, shoppers and diners could have their very own North Market come 2020.  There are already plenty of restaurants and retail for the development so a grocery was next as a near term consideration.  The market has changed so much with the Amazon acquisition of Whole Foods that Crawford Hoying was looking for something a little different.

The President of the Board of Trustees of the North Market, Jeff Pongonis and Executive Director, Rick Harrison, entered the picture with a plan.   The Dublin, Ohio Bridge Park North Market is slated to be very similar to the very successful Short North, North Market with about 35,000 square feet of floor space and an adjacent parking garage.  The garage is already under construction, and assuming the rest of the concept receives final approval by the city, it’s expected to open in 2020.

There should be plenty of leasing opportunities for small spaces, but for the investor types who read my post, there won’t be Columbus commercial real estate for sale in this development.  If you have needs for a for a net lease, single tenant property for sale, especially for a 1031 upleg, there are opportunities throughout the state.  Feel free to contact me, Scott Harris, at 614-905-6614.
