March 2014 – Commercial Construction Update for Columbus and Central Ohio
I’ll link shortly to Walker Evans at Columbus Underground for his summary of the current progress of Columbus commercial real estate for sale and lease.
True, the weather has had huge effect on many of these projects, but now that hopefully it’s getting warmer, there will be much progress in the coming months. We sure need Columbus commercial property development so that we have some new Columbus net leased retail and restaurant space available. We’re very short on available net leased retail property right now and especially restaurant.
- LC Riversouth – Ground floor Columbus downtown net leased retail with two eight 100 unit apartment buildings
- 250 High – Twelve story mixed use with ground floor net lease retail plus four floors of office topped by 156 apartments
- Highpoint at Columbus Commons – 300 units with ground floor triple net retail overlooking Columbus Commons
- The Julian – Front and Main in the old shoe factory. Again, net leased retail / restaurant on the ground floor and residential above
- The View on 5th – 5th and Holly with a six story mixed use with once again, ground floor Columbus net leased retail / restaurant and 285 apartments. Quite a large development for the area
- Jeffrey Park – Finally, the first apartment building with 276 units and 79 fee simple attached single family homes in the long languishing Jeffrey Place that will someday be home to 1,350 units.
These are just a few of the many construction projects underway in downtown Columbus or close by.
