$50 Million Apartment Complex Slated for Columbus Commons
An Atlanta Developer has signed on to build a $50 million apartment complex with groundbreaking scheduled for late this summer and completion for late winter 2014. The complex will consist of three six story buildings with 300 units over 23,000 sq ft. of first floor retail.
Apartments will be built to “condo specifications,” Capitol South Community Urban Redevelopment Corp. CEO Guy Worley said. Included will be an elevated pool, club room, and fitness center plus underground parking.
This is part two of the Capital South revitalization program that began with the demolition of City Center and the creation of Columbus Commons. Worley also hopes to attract a large employer to the one acre site at the corner of Rich and Third St.
