Temperance Row Brewing Opens in Uptown Westerville

In Columbus, Commercial, development, net lease, real estate, Retail

As many locals know, Westerville was ground zero of the temperance movement in the early 1900s. Ironically, Toni Cabilovsky named the new Westerville Uptown Deli and Brew at 41 N State Street Westerville, with the brewery named Temperance Row Brewing.

Toni also brought brewmaster Scott Francis into the project to run the brewery . Francis is regarded as the godfather of Columbus beer.  He’s owned the Winemaker’s Shop in Clintonville since 1974.  He also helped found Columbus Brewing Company back in 1989 to supply the Brewery District restaurants.

In the bar, four taps will be connected directly to the brewery’s tanks with another eight to kegs for Temperance Row beer. Scott Francis will only offer Ohio beers and more importantly, only those where he’s met the brewmaster.

As I was driving home from the gym last night I noticed that the paper was still on the front windows so it looks like the deli isn’t quite ready to open yet.

And thinking of an Uptown Westerville net lease I did not all that long ago, be sure to visit Jim Downing at Buckeye Brewcraft at 31-33 N State so you can get started as your own brewmaster.

Both of these are a great addition to the Uptown Westerville net leased commercial real estate market as Uptown transitions from antique shops to a restaurant and entertainment district.
