Southern California Home Sales – September 2011
Once again, there’s not much in the way of good news to report regarding home sales in Southern California for September 2011.
DQ News reported that 18,149 new and resale homes sold last month, which is down 7.7% from August and up 3/10ths % from September 2010. Median price at $280,000 is down 5.2% from $295,500 in September 2010. However, that was up 4/10ths from August.
The year over year median has fallen for the last seven months.. The current median is up from the bottom of the current cycle of $247,000 in April 2009, but 44.6% below the peak median of $505,000 in mid 2007.
